Survey work in Tibet

1904, including a visit to Lahsa and surveying to the source of the Tsang Po

Captain Charles Ryder was in charge of survey work on the Younghusband expedition to Tibet in 1904. During this expedition he measured the height of Mount Everest with remarkable accuracy as 29,002 feet (now given as 29,029 feet).
